What is the usual weight limit for shipping a full container to the United States & Canada?

Usually, 20GP is about 17.3 tons, and 40HQ is about 19.5 tons.

The specific loading cargo weight may vary depending on the requirements of the shipping company and the port. Some shipping companies can load overweight cargo, such as 20GP is 26.5 tons, and 40HQ is 27 tons. It depends on the route requirements, such as the Panama Canal's East Coast weight limit requirements.
